Govt Jobs for Junior Engineer
The qualification requirement for a junior engineer is either a B.E or B Tech graduation or an engineering diploma with two year professional experience in the respective branches chosen. The age limit generally falls within 18 to 27 years of age. However there are relaxations on upper age limit for reservation categories. As per such permissible age relaxation the upper age limit for an OBC candidate shall stand 30 years and SC/ST and Ex. Servicemen shall stand 32 years of age. The hiring process for engineers to an extent depends upon the urgency of the call. It can either be a call for direct recruitment via walk in interviews or the longer way to home by conducting written test screenings and then an interview. The written examinations are mostly to assess your overall general knowledge and communication skills. The selection criteria involve the overall score secured by a candidate for both the written examination and the personal interview. On the basis of the overall score appointments are made. The shortlisted candidates are then made to go through a medical fitness test to ensure that they are physically fit for the profession. The application procedure is quite simple as well. Either you can download online applications from the respective websites and hit submit or fill in the application form in the specified format and mail it to the stated address as the case may be for different vacancies. The application fee is generally around Rs. 100 for general and OBC candidates and free for various reservation categories. The pay scale for these jobs varies from Rs. 9300-34800. In addition to this there are also grade pays of around Rs. 4200. But the best feature of these jobs is the frequent pay revisions and the ever increasing chances of promotion. You can write promotion tests to climb up or even your seniority would count.
