Pay Scale: Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay Rs. 6600/- plus NPA.
Educational Requirements: An MBBS qualification recognized by Medical Council of India included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
Qualifications: Post Graduate degree qualification in the concerned Super-speciality i.e. M.Ch.(Neuro-Surgery) or Speciality Board of Neurological Surgery (USA) or equivalent.
Experience Requirements: Three years teaching experience as Lecturer/ Sr. Resident/Registrar/Demonstrator/Tutor in the concerned Super Specaility in recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first post graduate degree.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is the central agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination, Engineering Services Examination, Combined Defence Services Examination, National Defence Academy Examination, Naval Academy Examination and Combined Medical Services Examination. The agency�s charter is granted by the Constitution of India. Articles 315 to 323 of Part XIV of the constitution, titled Services Under the Union and the States, provide for a Public Service Commission for the Union and for each state.
