Govt Jobs for Architects
Architects have a wide range of job opportunities before them. Set designers, Landscape architects, Interior designers, Art Directors, Urban planners, Building architects, Architectural historian and journalist are only a few to name. The avenues are really wide. The minimum qualification that is expected of an architect applying for government post is a graduation/diploma in architecture from an institute approved by the Architect Council of India. Post graduation in the same is desirable as well and has a greater market in government institutes. The upper age limit to apply for government architectural posts usually falls below 35 years of age but subject to variations on different situations and reservation categories. The application process is quite simple. There are posts in which online applications are invited whereas in some cases they insist on sending the application via postage itself. In such cases the candidates are required to send in the applications typed in the specified format with photographs affixed and a self addressed envelope enclosed. The selection process would include a written test in which your basic knowledge and ability would be assessed and scores recorded. Candidates with eligible score are then called in for a personal interview and further the selected candidates are put to a medical fitness test.
