Educational Requirements: B.E./B.Tech. and ME/M.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering with First Class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech. or ME/M.Tech. and Ph.D., or equivalent in Electronics and Communication Engineering with specialization in the broad area/stream of Signal Processing.
Qualifications: Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. students is highly desirable.
Experience Requirements: Minimum of 05 years experience in teaching/research/industry of which 2 years post Ph. D. experience is desirable.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is the central agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination, Engineering Services Examination, Combined Defence Services Examination, National Defence Academy Examination, Naval Academy Examination and Combined Medical Services Examination. The agency’s charter is granted by the Constitution of India. Articles 315 to 323 of Part XIV of the constitution, titled Services Under the Union and the States, provide for a Public Service Commission for the Union and for each state.
