Educational Requirements: A Master’s Degree in Hospitality Administration from a recognized University, with at least three years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in catering, accommodation operations and / or food & beverage management, in a reputed Institution/ Hotel / University Guest House.

Qualifications: A B.Sc. degree or equivalent in Hotel Management or Catering from a recognized University with at least five years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in catering, accommodation operations, and / or food & beverage management, in a reputed Institution/ Hotel / University Guest House. Or A graduate degree from a recognized University and a Diploma in Hotel Management or catering from an Institution recognized by the Government with 6 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in catering, accommodation operations, and / or food & beverage management, in a reputed Institution/ Hotel / University Guest House.

The upper age limit prescribed for direct recruitment shall be relaxable in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes (Central List), Persons with Disabilities, Ex-servicemen and other specified categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued in this behalf from time to time by the Central Government and adopted by the University.
4. The upper age-limit shall also be relaxable up to a maximum of five years or the number of years (in completed years) whichever is less provided they have rendered at least three years regular service in same or allied field in organization(s) under Government Departments/ Statutory or Autonomous bodies/Universities/ affiliated or constituent colleges under the University/Public Sector Undertakings.

The post recession period has witnessed an enhanced and ever increasing demand for government job profiles and openings. The stature of any government job is on the rise again and so are openings. There are umpteen openings especially for manager posts in different government institutions. Though the applicants for these posts are always in multitude, the task is not that cumbersome either. All you need is patience and the willingness to work hard as a manager. To apply for managerial posts you should have completed graduation with a minimum of 60% for general candidates and 55% for reservation category. A post graduation in the concerned field is desirable as well. The aggregate scores earned by the candidate from both the written test and interview shall decide on his or recruitment. The qualified candidates are then further made to go through a medical test. In case of higher scale recruitments direct interview of highly experienced candidates alone are considered. The pay structure of government employed managers is very attractive as well. It ranges roughly from Rs. 16400 to Rs. 40500 apart from the numerous fringe benefits they enjoy. For higher designation posts the pay could go even high. This has the added benefit of securing a higher pension benefit as well.
