Educational Requirements: A First class Master's degree in Physics/Geophysics/Applied Mathematics with atleast 10 years research experience in the areas of Solid Earth Geophysics/Geomagnetism
Qualifications: (i) Ph.D. in topics related to the above areas with original research publications in high impact journals (ii) Evidence of ability to lead a group and carry out independent research work of high quality

How To Apply: The candidates may apply on the form downloadable at www.iigm.res.in together with the requisite application fee of Rs. 100/- by crossed demand draft. The prescribed application form can also be obtained from the office of the Registrar by paying an application fee of Rs. 100/- by crossed demand draft in favour of Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, New Panvel either in person between 10.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on working days (Monday to Friday) OR it can be obtained by post by sending an application alongwith the application fees and a self-addressed stamped envelope of Rs.10/- superscribing “Request for Application Form”. For SC / ST candidates, application form will be issued free of cost on production of valid caste certificate.
